Our community is just over a 1.5 mile walk from Playa Junquillal — a long powdery dark sand beach featuring the wonderful sea turtle hatchery, VerdiAzul.

The Home
La Junglita is a 1,400 square foot custom-built bungalow that sits on 1.25 acres of lush Costa Rican land.
It resides on one of the 75 lots within the gated community of Tierra Pacifica, complete with on-site security 24/7.
The home was built in an open-concept manner to maximize time spent with the ones you love. A fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a large island with bar stools faces both the dining and living areas.
The living room sofa changes to a king-size pull-out mattress with a luxury mattress topper to make your stay even more comfortable.
All three bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds and night tables. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom connected via a large walk-in closet, while the other two bedrooms have large built-in closets and share the second bathroom.
All rooms and the main social area are equipped with individual air conditioners.
Outdoor Living
The outdoor space of the villa is the highlight of your stay. A beautiful lounge pool that looks out to the lush gardens surrounding you makes you think you are the only guests within miles and miles.
Pool chairs and loungers, an outdoor shower, Blackstone BBQ grill, and pool toys are just a few of the things La Junglita has to offer.
As Costa Rica is a tropical country, you will encounter insects and other small arthropods that may enter the home. We fumigate on a consistent schedule, and while this does help, it does not completely eliminate all bugs that enter. Guests may escort out any insects with a broom and dustpan provided.
La Junglita is a place for nature lovers, where you will be immersed in the sights and sounds of many different species and walks of life.
If you have always wanted to see a howler monkey, look no further — we have several families that visit our exotic trees almost daily.
Guest Access
The entire property of La Junglita is yours to use and can be accessed via a key code at the front entrance, which will be given to you prior to checking in.
In addition, as guests of La Junglita, you are also guests in our gated community, meaning you have access to the amazing pool, fully equipped gym, and social areas of Club Arbol during your stay.
A basketball court, tennis court, yoga/stretching room, and nature trails are also yours to discover throughout the Tierra Pacifica community.
Identification will be required at the entrance gates of Tierra Pacifica, where security will greet you and verify your stay.
The Area
The area of Junquillal is quieter and more quaint than those looking for the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo — but only 30 minutes from the action if you wish to experience it as well.
There are several local restaurants, small grocery stores, and pristine beaches in and around the neighborhood. There are some small hills throughout the area that make for beautiful walks.
A car rental is recommended to experience all that Costa Rica has to offer.
Our Note to Guests
We love our Junglita, and it was a dream come true building this for our family and friends to enjoy. We hope that you, as our guest, will treat our home and property with the same utmost care and respect that we have in creating our dream.
Hosting is something we have never encountered before, and we are learning along the way. Although we are trying to tick all the boxes to make things perfect, we will undoubtedly not achieve perfection now or ever.

Amenities
With prior approval
You’ll be staying in someone’s home, so please treat it with care and respect.
To make your arrival easy, we provide an initial supply of kitchen and bathroom essentials (paper goods, soap, basic cooking needs). These are meant to get you started and are not replenished during your stay. Guests staying longer may want to plan accordingly. Smoking of any kind is prohibited in or near the house. Please smoke further than 30 feet from any door or window. Absolutely no ash or cigarette/cigar butts are to be left around the property. Municipal ordinances restrict loud noise between the hours of 11pm-7am. We encourage everyone to have a good time, but please respect these by-laws. All sand and mud must be washed off bodies, beach toys, and footwear using the outdoor shower before entering the home. Guests shall not use the pool to clean off their hands and feet. Please turn off any air conditioner in a room that is not being occupied. All four air conditioners must be turned off when leaving the home. La Junglita is in a tropical environment. Guests are encouraged to keep doors closed and use screens to keep nature (rodents, crabs, geckos, bugs etc.) outside. Do not leave out food nor dirty dishes around the inside of the home to assist with pest control. Any towels, sports equipment, or household items missing will incur a penalty. Early check-in MAY be accommodated but is subject to availability and cannot be confirmed until the evening before arrival. For early check-in requests more than 3 hours, a half night rate will apply. Please be aware that only those guests that are booked to stay at La Junglita are permitted to use the amenities of Club Árbol including the pool, hot tub, gym, basketball court, tennis court, playground or other shared facilities. No additional guests are permitted to use the facilities, which is a rule of our gated community. Visitors to La Junglita that are not a registered guest are not permitted unless with written permission to the host prior to check-in.
Check out is at 10:00am. Please respect the check out time as our cleaner has to prepare for the next arrival, which could be the same day. Leave the safe open and unlocked upon leaving. Rinse any equipment used at the beach using the outdoor shower and return it to the deck box. Guests must leave the kitchen tidy and run the dishwasher upon departure (NO PLASTIC ITEMS in the dishwasher)
