Hi, I’m Crystal from Canada, proud owner and host of La Junglita. I’m an avid traveller with a deep passion for Hispanic culture and all things nature. I fell in love with Costa Rica while studying Spanish at an immersion school back in 2021, and that experience inspired me to take a leap of faith: buy a property and build my second home away from home here in Guanacaste.
I created La Junglita so you can have it both ways: adventure when you want it, and comfort and privacy when you don’t. Spend the day surfing, exploring beaches or watching for turtles, then come home to your own pool in the jungle. Or don’t leave at all. I’m super active and love anything involving water. Swimming, scuba diving and surfing are my go-to ways to recharge.
Whether it’s your first time visiting Costa Rica or your tenth, our team is here to make your stay unforgettable with local tips and personal recommendations, always just a message away.
Valerie is our manager and your host while you’re here, a little like a hotel concierge. She meets you when you arrive, shows you the ins and outs of the house and is at your beck and call until you leave. She’s Costa Rican, a biologist and the founder of VerdiAzul, the sea turtle hatchery on Playa Junquillal, which has been running for about 20 years. She speaks fluent Spanish and English.

Ana and Marcos are a husband and wife team who live locally in our community. They look after the cleaning and maintenance, so the villa is spotless and everything works when you arrive.
